HULL LEAKAGE
- Inform Master / terminal
- Try to identify the specific tank from which leakage is occurring
- Try to stabilize pressure between sea and relevant tank (levels of all tanks in the vicinity to be reduced)
NOTE
Take good care on hull stress and stability
- If alongside : transfer cargo to slack tank or ashore
- Consider pumping of water bottom into the damaged tank to prevent any further oil spillage
- Report to Company, P & I Club and authorities
- Enter all measures and/or actions taken in logbook
NOTE
No action should be taken that in any way could jeopardize the safety of personnel either on board or ashore
